The Barcelona Institute for Global Health, ISGlobal, is the fruit of an innovative alliance between academic, government, and philanthropic institutions to contribute to the efforts undertaken by the international community to address the challenges in global health.
What We Are Looking for:
ISGlobal is looking for an experienced fieldwork technician to conduct a short exposure evaluation of air pollution on the frame of the project Urban Innovation Action proposal ¨Blue, Green and Grey, Adapting Schools for Climate Change.¨ The City of Barcelona will be conducting an intervention project to convert public school patios into climate change refuges through structural interventions and participatory processes including green, blue and shade features. Together with the Barcelona Agency for Public Health, ISGlobal is responsible for the health and climate impact evaluation of these interventions over the next 2.5 years.

Main duties and tasks:
The main task of this position is to help design and implementing the protocol for NO2 exposure evaluation in different schools in Barcelona. The applicant will conduct the data collection, placement and removal of monitoring tools at the school sites.

Training and experience:
Public health, environmental epidemiology, or related field. Previous experience in data collection, fieldwork and/or working in school environments are an asset.
