The Department of Health Sciences, University West, is looking for two post-doctoral researchers in health sciences specialising in work-integrated learning

Research at the Department of Health Sciences focuses on the health sciences research environment “Learning and Caring for Sustainable Health”. The research involves promoting people’s health and their experiences of health, illness and health care. The concepts of “Person-Centred Care” and “Norm Awareness” include living conditions, equal treatment, respect and acknowledgment as a way of responding to people’s specific needs. Learning and Caregiving consists of research on various levels, from the individual to the organisation and social structure.

University West is Sweden’s leading university in the field of work-integrated learning (WIL). The health sciences with specialisation in WIL study and develop people as unique actors in different health care situations regarding health, empowerment, influence, health care needs and resources. The research questions deal with learning and development within different health care activities and health sciences programmes, with a strong connection to the surrounding community. Training and professional and organisational development are studied to meet the current and future needs of health care and medical services for professional competence.
