The research activity is focused on the Blade tip timing measurement technique to detect the dynamic response of the bladed discs. The activity involves the development of new algorithms for data processing in order to obtain more information from the measured signals.

 

Benefits

The salary will be around € 1600 per month net, for a year renewable for a second year

Eligibility criteria

The person is required to have a PhD  in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering or Physics

Selection process

There will be a first interview via Skype about the candidate's motivations. If she/he passes this first selection, the candidate can apply with the formal application where her/his titles will be evaluated and there will be a second technical interview about the research topics.

Skills/Qualifications

 

The research fellow will be asked to thoroughly study the basic principles of the technique, carry out the measurements, implement new models of experimental data processing. Ability to process data and signals is required by using preferably Matlab or Simulink.It could also be necssary to use programming codes of acquisition systems such as Labview and to design simulacra of bladed discs on which to apply the measurement technique.

 

Specific Requirements

It will be considered a merit point in the selection of candidates if the researcher is already familiar with the tip timing measurement technique
