OFFER DESCRIPTION

A full-time associate professor position in ethical hacking is available at the Department of Informatics in the Digital Security Research Group within the Digital Infrastructures and Security Section. The department seeks a potential scientific leader with clear research visions, educational and administrative skills and abilities to establish and lead research projects, who will strengthen our research and education connected to information security.

The Digital Security Research Group currently has five full- and part-time faculty members and a relatively large number of postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. The research group conducts research in various areas of information and cyber security, focusing on fundamental aspects as well as on applications in multi-disciplinary contexts and works in collaboration with leading national and international research partners from both academia and industry. Current research topics include privacy and data protection, cyber threat intelligence, AI applied to cyber security, post-quantum cryptography, and ethical hacking.
