PhD Fellowship “Development and evaluation of a module for the simulation of atmospheric brown carbon”

 

 

The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas, (FORTH/ICE-HT) is seeking applicants for one PhD Fellowship in the context of the research project “Constrained aerosol forcing for improved climate projections (FORCes)” which is implemented under the EU-Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Action

 

Job Description

To conduct research in the framework of the aforementioned project "FORCeS". The main objective of FORCeS is to improve climate predictions by constraining aerosol forcing. The objective of this job is to develop and evaluate of a module for the simulation of atmospheric brown carbon.

 

Location: FORTH/ICE-HT, Patras, Greece

Duration: 12 months, with the potential of renewal

Salary: 845 Euros per month

Envisaged starting date: 1/12/2019

 

Requirements and Qualifications

The candidate is required to hold a Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Moreover, the candidate must be fluent in both Greek and English, in order to meet working conditions.

The evaluation of the candidacies will be based on the following criteria and qualifications:

    Selection Procedure

    Applications that are received on time will be evaluated by a scientific committee using the criteria mentioned above. If necessary, certain candidates will be invited to a personal interview with the committee.

    The outcome of the selection will be announced on the website of FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.
