Post-doc fellowships in research of ultrafast processes and solvation - chemistry, physics, material sciences, engineering, and biology (FP-RESOMUS)

fp_resomus

Deadline: 28 February 2019

FP-RESOMUS will fund up to 50 fellowships for postdoctoral students employed in the Swiss research network NCCR MUST and the German Cluster of Excellence RESOLV. The fellowships provide a fixed sum of Euro 2'625 per month as a contribution towards the salary of the postdoctoral student for a maximum of 2 years. It is funded through the COFUND scheme, which aims to stimulate regional, national or international programmes to foster excellence in researchers' training, mobility and career development, spreading the best practices of Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions.

RESOLV and the NCCR MUST operate at the frontiers of what is technically feasible. The scientific focus of the two clusters is largely complementary, and founded on fundamental and applied research of ultrafast processes and solvation. FP-RESOMUS will integrate the clusters’ research goals within four focus areas:

  • Dynamics in Solution
  • Charge and Energy Transfer
  • Structural and Long-Range-Order Dynamics
  • Advancing Photonics Technology

Who may apply?

You may be eligible for an FP-RESOMUS fellowship if you

  • have received a Ph.D. degree no more than four years prior to the date of recruitment (see exceptions)
  • have at least one peer-reviewed original publication
  • abide by the mobility rules of MSCA (see our Guidelines for details and definitions)

Note that you have to prepare your application together with an NCCR MUST or RESOLV Principal Investigator! Research themes open for FP-RESOMUS proposals are available under "Projects".

For more details on eligibility, and the application and evaluation procedures, please consult the FP-RESOMUS-Applicant_Guide.
