Q&A: How to Apply for an ERC Grant

Applicants to the ERC Grant Calls are invited to join a Q&A session on 5 October at 9.00am CEST (3.00pm Singapore time) via the EURAXESS ASEAN Facebook page.


Two experts on the ERC funding schemes, Dr Ylva Huber and Dr Kristin Kraav - both part of the National Contact Points Network of expert consultants - will answer your questions on the drafting process for a strong proposal.

Dr Ylva Huber, a

geneticist by training, joined the Austrian Research Promotion Agency in 2004. She has been National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Research Council (ERC) since 2011 and coordinates FFG's contribution to the EURAXESS initiative. Previous functions include the NCP for Health and Knowledge Based Bio-­Economy well as consultancy on the Innovative Medicines Initiative. She has been involved in several EU projects aimed at fostering cooperation between the private and the academic sector. Since 2004 she also acts as external lecturer at the University of Vienna.


Dr Kristin Kraav is Senior Adviser, Department of International Research Cooperation, Estonian Research Council. She works as a National Contact Point (NCP) since 2002. Currently, she is NCP and the national delegate to the Programme Committee for 3 areas of Horizon 2020: European Research Council, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and Spreading excellence and

widening participation.




The network of National Contact Points (NCPs) is the main structure to provide guidance, practical information and assistance on all aspects of participation in Horizon Europe. NCPs are established across the EU and many non-EU and non-associated
